No Gotham but...

So far I like it. But I'm afraid it's only going to get one season like Birds of Pray, which I thought was pretty good too. It just feels like the female hero's of the Batman universe aren't strongly written as tv series, unlike Gotham. But maybe it will surprise us like and get better like Gotham.

Well, that's too early to say. And what could save it is the fact it is on The CW and in the Arrowverse. I've been watching it live each week, so at least I contribute to the ratings.

Don't you need some kind of Neilson ratings box for it to count?

I've been enjoying it so far, I found Black Lightning started off a bit slow and built up nicely.

Yeah, but then they make an estimate. I am part of that estimate.

Let's give it a chance. I hate it when they take shows off the air and not give them a chance to gain an audience. The shows we today call classics did not do well their first seasons. It took time.

I miss The Tomorrow People. The Secret Circle was canceled too soon. And Star-Crossed.

Episodes just get better and better. Every character got their own chance to shine.

Of course, the three Kane-Hamilton sisters are my favourites.

Personally, this was the best episode of the show so far!

Just as a reminder/FYI, "Elseworlds, Part 2" takes place between this episode and next week's episode, " Who Are You".

I wish they would have shown her seeing Barry, Oliver, and Supergirl arriving on the rooftop at the end of the episode. But it makes sense why she went the wig route especially not wanting old enemies to try and lure Batman out when he wasn't coming back.

I did like this episode more than the previous two. The mother def is shady... She hid the cards that Alice left. Did Alice not see the search map before?

"Elseworlds P2" doesn't take place immediately after this episode, so there was no reason to repurpose that shot.

If Elseworlds is set between this episode & the next, repurposing that shot would make it clear where we are in the timeline. It would not have necessarily shown that it happened immediately after the events of this episode. They also could've included some text that said X weeks later or whatever the time difference is just to help clarify it so people didn't get confused. It would be a small treat for fans too so plenty of reason for the shot to be included or at least for someone to desire it. There is also plenty of reasons not to include - including it not being relevant to the ep or story. But there are two sides
