Yeah it can be hard at times.

I once had a former friend not invite me to her going away party because apparently I was depressed all the time and everyone was on edge when I'm around. Just because you're quiet doesn't mean you're depressed. Idk. We're no longer friends so meh.

I don't normally like initiating conversations unless I absolutely have to and even then it's hard.

I mean I miss them but maybe it’s for the best but some people don’t get or understand you’re different or don’t talk as much in a conversation for a while

Exactly. Everyone is different. That's why I don't like group outings anymore.

If my friend is with me it’s okay but when it’s just me and someone else it’s weird for a bit even if you did date for a bit or something

Me too even if it takes pushes or extra time but sometimes it’s not worth it.

But with this one person we leave it for a while maybe text or catch up after a while and I may still send them a invite to my birthday but people think it might be awkward but wouldn't it be awkward if you don't?

Yes I mean we did catch up once before my friend and I wen ton holiday it didn't seem too bad but then we decided to have some space for now but knowing him he will text me first.

Him and I agreed with him that maybe it's not a good idea for Hom to come but It wouldn't hurt to send a invite etc.
