I still loved Isak, even when he was a snake. Maybe because I knew beforehand that he was going have his own SL and struggles, but idk, something about Tarjei just makes me love him and not feel like he's being intentionally manipulative in order to hurt someone. IDK if that makes sense. He just is so.. soft. I love him.

Oh for sure, well it makes sense to me at least. I'm the same. I had started season 3 going in to the first seasons and he just seemed so sad and alone a lot of the time, so I was just curious to know a lot more about him.

exactly. and i sort of saw his POV. Like, I didnt like jonas/eva either so i kinda understood why he wanted them to break up.

the thing with Isak is that he never really came off as a bad person to me or that he did things intentionally. and he apologized to Eva, a real apologize, when he realized just how wrong he was.

and Isak is very smart too, like he organized the whole fight together with P.Chris against the guys that hurt Jonas. And he didn't even do anything, he just stood there and let the penetrators do all the fighting.

I think a lot of people forgot about how smart and clever Isak was because when it's about his own personal life he thinks a lot less clear, like literally every other person. So a lot of people have this image of Isak in their head based on just his own season which is odd to me. I agree, Isak was always clever enough to weigh out his options and the smarter thing to do, and how it would affect himself and others. (*coughs* peak slytherin)

exactly. it's the same thing with isak and cooking like, the boy is a mess when it comes to making tea. but i do believe that he had to help much around home and help with dinner and stuff, so just because he lets Even spoil him doesn't mean that he doesn't know. and Isak is so smart

Isak brought a lot of international fan's to the show. He's the reason why I started watching.

I think him having his own season explained a lot of things too. He really was struggling with who he was.

The internalized homophobia is definitely something that was a huge part of season 3 and that needed to be addressed, like it's ok to figure yourself out and that it doesn't come in a blink of an eye. It's an important message that people should have room to grow.

yes exactly. and what i also love in S3 and with Isak's development is how in S3 he took in what people were telling him and used it when he needed it. So Sana gave him the "hate doesn't come from religion, it comes from fear" speech and he used it as a way to give himself strength to come out to his mom. Even told him there shouldn't be anyone who can tell anyone who they feel and think, and Isak used it to say "only you can feel what you feel"...

and then the best thing, in his conversation with Sonja he took parts of what she said to him and turned it into a game: Isak and Even - minute by minute.
