From Daemon's TV Robin Sparkles is back on tonight’s new episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and she is bringing us a new song, “Sandcastles in the Sand.†Even better, James Van Der Beek guest stars as her old flame. The next step is to find a way to keep Mr. Van Der Beek on the show, or how about giving him his own show, again?! We can wish!     Episode 3.16: Sandcastles In The Sand Airdate: April 21, 2008 The gang is excited when they will finally meet Simon, someone from Robin Sparkles' past. However, they get even more ecstatic when they learn he wasn't in the "Let's Go To The Mall" video but in her "Sandcastles in the Sand" video. Simon was, according to Robin's word, the hottest guy on the set. The others warn Robin that, with time, people change and it is possible that Simon isn't as hot as he used to be. No matter what the gang thinks, Robin still has a huge crush on Simon and acts like a teenager around him. Simon is part of a band that plays at small venues such as bat-mitzvahs. Barney transforms his apartment in a Bourne Identity-like control room in order to find the "Sandcastles in the Sand" video. Ted is still dating Stella. | Total Fan | That was me. I think his genes will be nice to him. I watched the music video and it's so funny. Will need to try and watch this episode. Hopefully it'll lead to something more. I mean, we're seeing that James is capable of so many things, so many differing roles from Dawson (sweet) to Tobias (psycho killer with multiple personalities). __________________ If I asked would you say y e s ? Loved his part and how he was totally unaware of how badly he aged The Canadian accent was also hilarious  I wish someone just realizes how awesome he is and gives him a good role to play. | the episode was great last night! james was histerical and the accent was so funny! i thought he did a great job with the role i loved that first scene where he explains his job at the water park and how he prevents kids from dying... CBS.com has the episode.
