I couldn't believe it when he said it But i thought it was funny that he did say it because years ago in an interview with Carson Daily (not for mtv i don't think....carson had a late night show, i think on a different channel) that came up and he laughed and said that's a story for another time.....guess this was the other time

It's awesome that it's him...I'm just questioning it. How are they really friends? How were they friends back then with that kind of age gap? Being an actor, maybe Michael was just acting?? Maybe he was hired by MTV? That sounds horrible, but I just can't figure it out!

And I really can't believe it's not him. I've watched him on ATWT turns since I was little, taking a nap while my mom iron clothes and watched the show......I still watch it today. Michael actually just won the daytime emmy for best leading actor! he's a great actor...i've always loved him

Yup. I could see them being friends now. Michael lives in NY where ATWT is filmed (well, just stopped filming i'm forever scarred by the canceling of the show) And according to IMDB, James was on an episode of ATWT, which would explain them meeting. But for James to know him at age 17...???

That's what his IMDB page says...just one episode before DC even started. But that may be one of the things on his page that he said he's never even heard of. But being a young actor and going to NY a lot, I can definitely see him getting a one episode role on the show so I always thought it was true.

BTW, the MTV site has a deleted scene of James that wasn't shown in the episode for those of you who can access the US MTV website James talks about his dyslexia.
