Year 2006

* February > James has a new pilot in the works: 'Sex, Love, Power & Politics'. But it wasn't picked up.
* March 17th > 'Standing still' premiere. Watch the trailer - watch an interview in the red carpet
* April 20th > First mention of James being involved in Mr. Avgerinos' project “Zoe,” which he woud star along with Eliza Dushku. Haven't heard much more about it since then.

* September 2 > James is writing a basketball movie script. Read more here and here.
* September 5th > DVD movie 'The Plague' released. Watch the trailer
* September 30th > James starts shooting a TV movie, 'Eye of the Beast', in Canada. It starts filming on Oct 2nd and will wrap Oct 20th.
* October 8th > 'Zoe' has been included in his imdb.com profile. Still in preproduction.
* December 14th > A new James' film has wrapped. The name is 'Final Draft' (formerly known as 'Punchy') and you can find all the info about it here.

Year 2007

February 13, 2007

James Van Der Beek is set to star in Stone's War, written and directed by acclaimed Finnish director Marko Makilaakso, reports Production Weekly.

In the film, formerly titled "War of the Dead," Captain Martin Stone (Van Der Beek) is leading a finely-trained, elite platoon of American and Finnish soldiers as they attack an enemy bunker. Underestimating their enemy's strength, they are quickly beaten back into the forest. As they try to regroup, they are suddenly attacked by the same soldiers they had just killed a few minutes earlier. Forced to flee deeper into Russian territory, they discover one of war's most terrifying secrets and realize they have woken up a far more deadlier enemy.

Principal photography for the film will begin April 2nd in Lithuania.

I think the early mid part of may the networks will have their announcement in N.Y i believe...so yes lets keep our fingers crossed!

"Final Draft" is a thriller starring two-time MTV Movie Award-winning actor James Van Der Beek ("Varsity Blues," TV's "Dawson's Creek"). The film tells the story of a screenwriter who locks himself in his apartment for 32 days in order to complete a script against a "drop dead" cut off date. The solitude gradually alters his reality into a living nightmare. The film was directed by Jonathan Dueck from a script by Darryn Lucie, and was produced by Robert Wilson, Patrick Cameron and Harvey Glazer. Peace Arch's Lewin Webb and Kate Harrison are the executive producers.

"The Cradle" starring Lukas Haas ("Brick," "Witness") is a thriller about a young father who lost his first child -- and now has terrifying visions that his second baby will share the same fate. The film was directed by Tim Brown from a script by Paul Nelson, and was produced by Robert Wilson, Patrick Cameron and Harvey Glazer, and executive produced by Peace Arch's Gary Howsam, Kate Harrison and Lewin Webb.
