Okay something that has always bugged me is how people bash James for him sticking up for his character, Dawson, on DC. I mean what was he supposed to do, just let TBTB ruin his character and never say anything?

I agree. I mean, that was a clear sign IMO that he cared for his character. that he refused to let him be treated as crap. And actually, S4 Dawson was IMO the best Dawson we ever saw: centered, grown up, calm.

So yeah, I don't get it neither

My problem was how all Dawson was about in the finale was work. WORK WORK WORK

If they were going to go down the route they were, the least we could have had was possibly Dawson with someone else in the end, either for the full finale or at the end there being the potential for something. Like him saying in that stupid phone call, "gotta go, my dates here". So there Joey!

Let's not start on how Dawson wasn't in HALF of the S6 episodes

Sth that makes me mad too is how despite how talented he is, we hardly see him in movies

I would've laughed if he told Joey his date was there, then jealous Joey would have come out.

The PJo ending was RIDICULOUS. It didn't work out in s4, why would things be different later? With DJo they were never really together that long...just cirumstances and timing for them sucked, but I think by the end they could handle what they had, but of course the writers must have thought otherwise.

I hear you Karen. I hated how they thought a simple meeting with Spielberg would make Dawson happy and fulfilled in life. Dawson was the most romantic character of DC, he made so many things because of his love for Joey that it is ridiculous to even consider his job would complete his life.
Pacey got Joey because without her he would be empty and Andie would be a consolation prize, but the main character of the show got a consolation prize, right? He was the only one who ended the way he began in the finale, alone.

Dawson complained about his life with Joey. He was 100% committed to his job and he wasn't happy. Jen died, Joey stayed with Pacey and that made Dawson feel better? I really don't get that.

You know what pisses me off? The fact that we hardly got to hear James sing in RoA. I was like, 'Stop talking over the music Sean! Stop having sex with her, sing again.'
