I wanted to start this thread because I've always wanted to make my sig a James quote, but I can never find a good one. So, please post some quotes! [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Crystal, one of our James board regulars, had a James quote in her sig. It was something like:

"Make them feel special because they're different."

I had no idea when and where James said that but I've always thought that quote was cute...even deep. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I'll think of osme more...

VanderbeekFreak has a great james quote in her sig... it was from some interview where the guy told him to give some life lesson in five words or less or something. "love, listen, learn... don't judge. And don't be a ********** hypocrite."

hehehe, i'd put his entire blooper speech from the graveyeard in my sig if it fit!! [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img]

ETA: stela, i think the quote you're talking about was from some other interview where he was talking about how he wanted to be a middle school teacher because he had a middle school teacher that really inspired him, and he did that by making him feel special for being different... or something like that. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Kats- ITA on the whole blooper quote thing. The man speaks the truth.

I've always thought this quote from him about Katie was really sweet:

"She's so sweet and unassuming. I don't think she knows how beautiful she is."

Almost all my fave quotes are Dawson/Joey, and I have way too many to count, but here's a few.

Actually, Mel, a little bit of trivia... that teen idol line from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was actually not scripted. He's supposed to just get into the car and yell "you've got the wrong guys!" but instead he said "Doesn't anybody watch the WB? I'm a teen idol, dammit!!" Apparently that was a little bit of James' improv on the spot that day. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

So was "I've done plenty of that, my friend." [img]smilies/eyebrows.gif[/img]

And "You actually watch that show??" after Jay asks why he let Pacey steal Joey away from him. The line in the screenplay is actually "I know, Because what--is Josh better looking than me? *****, no. I mean, who on earth is better looking that me? I ask you." [img]smilies/rotfl.gif[/img] But maybe James didn't wanna be mean. (well, the truth hurts... [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] )

All of my favorite lines seem to have been made up by James and Jason on the spot, actually. "Look at that GAY DOG!" isn't in the script either. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

And all of their bickering is total improv... the "Listen to me, pie-*****er... you wouldn't last a day on the Creek." "A day on the creek?! Go to hell, Pacey! Go to hell!" "You can't even get my *****in character name right." [img]smilies/rotfl.gif[/img]

That's kind of amazing too, because if you guys know Kevin Smith, he never lets people improv. Academy-award winning writers ben affleck and matt damon aren't even allowed to improv on his sets. But he just LOVED jason and james and called them comedy gods and everything! [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]
