As I find myself being drawn back to Dawson's Creek I find I have an appreciation for Dawson with other characters than Joey. And with that in mind I feel we should have a thread devoted to Dawson and his first "crush". I don't think Dawson was fully in love with Jen but I do believe there was a form of love between them.

Scene of the moment

This is one of my fave Dawson/Jen scenes from one of the saddest episodes ever, even the credits made you cry!

[Scene: Dawson's Kitchen. Dawson is looking in the refrigerator for something to drink when Jen comes into the kitchen to join him.]

Jen: Hey.
Dawson: Hey.
Jen: What you doing?
Dawson: Trying to decide between a glass of orange juice and a bottle of wine. Any thoughts?
Jen: Well, wine's fine, but whiskey's quicker.
Dawson: What about narcotics?
Jen: Oh, even better.
Dawson: You know, times like this, I really wish I was more of a drug person, but I don't know. Starting up just seems like such a hassle.
Jen: Yeah, plus, you can't really score any good dope in Capeside.
Dawson: Good point. Orange juice it is.
Jen: So, I've been trying to figure exactly what it is that I'm supposed to say to you. I feel terrible, Dawson, I really do. I mean, I can't imagine what you're going through, but I feel so helpless. I mean, if this were about a girl, I could offer sage advice, but...this is out of my league. The only person that was ever taken from me was my grandfather, and that was a long time coming, you know. So here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna give you a hug, and I'm not gonna let go for a really long time. I'm gonna tell you that I love you, which is actually a pretty good deal, 'cause that means that I'll do anything on the off chance it'll make you a little less sad.
[She grabs him and gives him a huge hug.]
Dawson: That sounds very good to me.

Thank you for the thread Karen We used to have one, but it got lost in the crash.

I agree it is a great moment Not my fave though, because I found it silly that Jen knew how to aproach Dawson while some other certain person didn't.

But ok, I won't go into that here.

I gotta admit though that I never got fully into D/Jen. I hated them when the show aired, and later on, I find them cute and all, but they're not really my thing

But as I said, I find them cute, and they have their moments. I'll be glad to remember them

So... I'm guessing we need a banner, right? I already have a few icons and wps done Will add them to the opening post when I'm at home

I know what you mean about D/Jen. Way back when we got the S5 spoilers on PS I remember it became a running theme for some of us saying we just wanted to throw a brick at the TV when she came on.

But after we got past the Joey/Dawson/Jen issue of s2, Jen was sweet with Dawson.

I'm like you Bea, I never EVER appreciated them together when the show was on. but later find them cute and I can appreciate them a little. just a little tho. My DJer brain rears it's head again.

I find them cute too, that's why I post here But they're not my thing in the romantic sense. I do like their scenes though. The sex scene was HOTT And the one where they are brushing their theet together

Karen, Karen, Karen...You know throught the whole time DC was showing I was none other then a DJer. Towards the end though my heart belonged to Dawson and Jen. Maybe it was a defense mechinsime I came up with but no one can deny that these two had chemistry.

Above all I've always been a Dawson lover....
