No point arguing when ya got the truth on your side Nic

I'd have to say a Dawson's Creek movie because I need that whole thing fixed - like years ago.
James has incredible talent and versatility and I can appreciate any role he plays but for me something special happened when his ability met the wonderful character of Dawson Leery and I would so like to see things resolved there. In my opinion his happy ending though would have to include Joey - I don't think there's any getting around that.

I hear ya sister. I think Dawson's happy ending would have to include Joey. Don't get me wrong, Dawson would be about more than his relationship with Joey, he has other interests and things seperate from Joey.

We'd maybe have less need for bricks.

we'd be able to make even better DJ videos, more kissage and I'm thinking more 601/602 style footage.

I couldn't agree more Deb. I just can't see Dawson being happy in every sense of the word without Joey, to me that was one of the whole points of the show and their story. They aren't totally complete or fulfilled without the other. That doesn't mean he can't find happiness without her because he can and he did through his work, but at the end of the day that isn't all that Dawson Leery is about. He's a romantic dreamer, always has been, so him ending up alone was just ridiculous imo. His work/show/whatever you want to call it was like his version of a consolation prize and to this day that's what disappoints me the most. Dawson loved filmmaking and he wasn't even doing that, but we're supposed to believe a tv show is going to replace his love of film or for Joey? Puh-lease. /rant.

Oh yes, I would like to know that. And we could see him telling Joey about it in the movie

Good idea Bea
Clearly the DJ story was so powerful in the movie that a TV series was ordered

Well the writers obviously didn't realise that they'd written a love story so powerful that there'd be about 5 movies and a TV show based around it.

Well, I am almost finished with my new video. It's really just a Dawson video.

Hopefully be posting in the next few days.

Figures

Can't wait to see the video, and even more if it is Dawson centered

I agree with you girls about how Dawson's true happiness involves Joey. It couldn't be different and unfortunately that was what the writers did. I would love to see a movie and, of course, a happy ending for him.

Can't wait to see your video, Karen. Great to know it's Dawson centered

^ Couldn't agree more and I love how he's the opposite of the alpha male. He had moments of competitiveness like most guys do, but he countered that with his idealistic and sensitive nature. I really related to that as a teenager--still do really.

Can't wait to see the vid Karen and the icons Cris.

Although many people define Dawson for his actions in one or two episodes in six seasons, being competitive never defined who he really was. He was a dreamer, a person who had faith from the Pilot to the very end. He went through a dark time and he was entitled to, since he lost his father, but all in all, Dawson Leery was a romantic guy, who had many dreams and was able to achieve them. He was a loyal friend and even when he was hurt, he didn't deny a hand to any of his friends. He is still one of my favourite characters and I think he will always be.
