Aww, i love the new thread.

And the banner is so pretty.

God, D/J had some of the most emotional scenes on DC, and some of the sweetes.

I was watching "The Reluctant Hero" last night and the ending scene with Joey climbing into Dawson's room and finding him not there but instead she sits on his bed and picks up his stuffed Jaws really got to me.

Just posting one of my favorite D/J scenes:

(Cut to Mitch and Dawson arriving home. Mitch signals Dawson towards Joey on the docks. He goes up to her.)

Dawson: Hey.

Joey: Hey.

Dawson: What are you doing here?

Joey: I'm not sure. Your house is like magnetic north. Certain nights, it just.. it draws me in. While you were gone this summer, there were days I would just get in my boat and come riding past your dock. For old times sake, I guess.

Dawson: We can't go back, Joey.

Joey: I know. It's like that phrase, isn't it? Can't go home again. I realized that for a while. Earlier tonight...

Dawson: I'm sorry you had to see that.

Joey: Don't be. I think I was meant to. In some weird way it helped me. I mean, seeing you on that stage something inside of me clicked, and for the first time I felt how wrong it would be. I mean we... we really do need to... to move on and to meet new people and to have new relationships.

Dawson: It's weird as it happens, isn't it? You still love the person, you just stop needing them like you used to.

Joey: Yeah. It's weird and it's kinda sad. So we're friends, and then we are a couple, then friends again, then a couple. So, what are we now?

Dawson: We're Dawson and Joey.

(He takes off his necklace and puts it on her neck.)

Joey: You think every Joey has a Dawson and every Dawson has a Joey?

Dawson: I hope so -- for their sake.

(The camera zooms out. Cue ending credits.)

I also loved the song played during it.

It's lovely I believe i saw the banner before Cris?

You know PJers keeps tell Dawson made Joey feel 15 again.I think the scene is one of the proofs that the theory isn't true.Joey herself wants to feel like she's 15.because that's who she is.She wants to keep that child in her heart and mind.But she knows she has to grow up.And she doesn't want to let it go.That's why she uses the history with Dawson.

You know I never have figured out what exactly is so bad about feeling 15 again...I mean I'm 30 and happily feel very similiar to how I did at 12 in many ways but with an added level of maturity and way more responsibility. I mean that's because you're still the same person...And so Joey feeling 15 with Dawson really means she feels HERSELF with Dawson and not some spinless, simpering IT candy.

I agree with you Deb. There's nothing wrong in keeping some of your childhood and teenage days with you, however Joey turned this into a bad thing, it was like her 15s and her relationship with Dawson had been prevented her from growing up, when in reality, it was her and not Dawson who kept acting like a child, an not in a good way.

You know, when i think about it, i remeber feeling 10, and how much fun it was, to just be a kid and everything. And it's the same for Joey, feeling 15 with Dawson, it reminds her of a good time in her life where she was with the guy she loved. So when you look back to your past their's always that one specific age that you remember exactly how you felt, what you were doing, and it in a waqy makes you feel alive remembering how carefree you were at that age and how much you want to be that age again.

Hope that makes sense i just threw a hole bunch of things together.

I see nothing wrong with feeling 16 neither, as long as you dont act as being 16! I mean, feeling 16 is great, because that means you still have the illusion, the passion, the hope... now, acting 16 in the sense that you are not able of handling your duties or responsabilities, that is the wrong thing.

And we know that was not D/J's problem, so is all good to me

^ Definally. It's not necessarily acting that age, just the feelings you had, good feelings. And they definally didn't act like they were still 16, just still felt the same feelings they had back then.
