i know what james and kevin really feel about the show and the ending..you have heard if from them before...again to the media they have to say something nice..

Or if we go with your calcularion, then its been a year, and S7 has happened, and DJ are married.

For some reason Kevin's lame attempt to rationalise the whole DJ thing is just pissing me off. Im never going to get closure when it comes to this couple, I can see it.

I think the problem is that they haven't watched every episode. there are so many things said, so many looks had, and so many feelings shared that i feel like they don't know. when you take these things into consideration, you can see that d/j were romantic. maybe kevin was trying to make it as soulmates that weren't, but that's not the way the show ended up going. i'll post a big analysis post with pic/quotes later to make my point clearer

I understand kevin's idea that soulmates don't always have to involve romance. I like that idea. It's nice. And I'm thinking that's what Kevin had/has with Fannie. But that's not what Dawson and Joey had/have. They developed into something more, and that is what is being overlooked. When reading the quotes from the panel i kept thinking "are we talking about the same show?". We really weren't. I feel like Kevin has this alternated idea in his head about Dawson's Creek, and that's not what was shown in the episodes.

The thing is, that Kevin might have had the idea of DJo from the beginning, that he possibly didn't think they would end up together. But he walked away from the show and clearly, there were people who had a different idea and inserted things into it that didn't go along with the idea of platonic friendship for all time.
Which is why when Kevin came back to do the Finale, I think he might've only watched the ep prior to that & saw the chemistry b/w DJo, so he wrote the Finale with that in mind (possibly assuming it wasn't the only instance, which it wasn't). But then he was told that it was a one-off, it didn't matter and DJo had nothing of that type of interaction between S3 and S6. Which we know is not true, but how could he know if he never watched the show after S2?

My main issue with the Finale the way it is: how can someone write a Finale of a show he didn't even watch for 4 years?

DJ is how it started and how it ends!!!!!

some more Season 1 caps showing that joey will always feel romantically to dawson!!!!

and in the future...

The above cap show it all...joey was that happiest i've ever seen in the whole series...she is sooo more happier with dawson than anyone else..it was so clear they will end together..no matter how it ended at the end of the series..the story of DJ will live forever and they got the better ending...and kevin the creator of the show knows it was DJ in the end!
