Am going to say not to compare the shows
 Only comparing are Max/Liz meant to be but even their own story for the reboot is different. The 3 alien names being the same, Maria Deluca and Kyle Valenti. Alex Manes is different name/personality  Liz Ortecho not Parker where Liz has a sisterSo basically I would recommend somebody wanting to try 1st season without having seen it to honestly treat it as a completely new series not based on an older show That is my opinion __________________

 very strong episode and certainly had some hooks at the end that's for sure  couple of shockers__________________
