These two together have the strongest chemistry and best working interaction through out the whole show. They were a instant hit and a huge following with the fans, not that should be a deciding factor. But they really hit a note with people and I don't think it wise to mess with that too much.

While I think their popularity is good.. especially considering it is a CW show. I honestly believe their popularity has very little to do with how important their arc is to the show.. their arc, no matter how popular they are, or aren't, is something that is pretty obviously going to be a key relationship throughout this whole series
 I do agree that their chemistry is pure gold... Carina really got lucky with Vlamburn, especially considering there was no chem test for them __________________

Oh I agree popularity doesn't really play on it. Writers have known to string a pairing along to get people to invest their time and energy so they will tune in to see what happens next.
But I do think they are one of the stronger aspects of the show. I mean the rest of the show is lovely, but lighting has struck between them. And Vlamis and Tyler play off each other so well. And I don't think the show should waste what potential these two have playing off each other. Even if it means they are just friends in the end. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth is what I mean. They were gifted with a pair that is strong together and electricity sparks between them. Which would be a strength to the show even if they only stay friends. __________________

Yeah this show definetly struck lightning with Vlamis and Blackburn. This show knows it and we know it. So yeah they will definetly keep these two in the same orbit either as something more of just friends. But I do see them in the endgame though

I don’t think the show will ever just have them as friends. I think they will have them try to move on, but I don’t think that will work for either of them. It will be interesting to see Michael try and navigate a relationship with Maria while still being in love with Alex. I expect the tension between Malex to only heighten in season two and with the way Carina talks about them, it should be good
