I wonder if Alex knew that Michael was single again while singing? Not that they should be together right now, they are both in different places in their lives.
I think their reunion is gonna be something private and personal for them. Maybe it's Michael making some big grand gesture and Alex just smiles and kisses Michael. __________________

Alex has no idea that Michael is single. At least that is how I see it
 That song may have been about Michael, but Alex was singing it for himself I imagine their reunion will be intimate and private __________________

I don't believe Alex knew about Michael and Maria's split. And even if he did.. Alex would not try and start something.. Alex has more respect for Maria then that! Alex' song may have heavy implications about himself and Michael, but Alex was purely singing that song for himself
