it really was where it was assumed they were closer than ever for High School but than when Alex and Liz came back it just seemed like Maria had individual relations with each of them instead of all 3 together

Agreed either drop it or actually build a "new dynamic" for the trio

I think they should drop it especially if the seasons continue to remain 13 episodes no real point on trying to bring a trio into things

No. They shouldn’t move on at all. They should just invest in these three the same way they do for their podsquad!

I think the time to do that has sailed they should have started to lay some foundation the first 2 seasons

It hasn’t sailed at all. They already have the foundation. Now, with Carina being gone, they can maybe prioritise the humans a little more.

I just feel that with limited time of only 13 episodes guess we shall see how things fill out during 3rd season under new management so guess its still a wait and see

I guess we shall see. I just think that if they are under time restraints, other things should be cut, and not this dynamic.

I meant Alex, it was a mistype. I think that Alex and Maria both deserve more to on this show. I don't think that connecting their past to the present would be all that hard and I think that with a new show runner that there is an opportunity for things to get better.

If they continue to write it horribly then I'm ok with moving past the three's friendship and having them form other bonds with other people. The show has dropped the ball and they haven't really been a thing (and hardly were) since season one for a few scenes. So either show the work or let it go, there are already so many problems that need to be fixed with the show.

Looks like 3rd season will be its "final chance" it could change with new show-runner, so I'll give it a single last chance

Yeah this is the last chance with me as well. I think I'll just watch the first three episodes to give it a chance. But if the writing is just as bad again, I just don't think I'll stick around.

The trio friendship should had been a priority just like the alien trio. But the show dropped the ball and I hope they don't force anything next time around.
