1988 was kind of a weak year in cinema. I liked Die Hard, Rain Man, A Fish Called Wanda, Coming To America, Bull Durham, Running on Empty, etc., but for the most part it was an unremarkable year for film.

Never watched any of those. Except bits of Die Hard.

1984 was a really good year for Hollywood as well. 1984 and 1987 were two of their most lucrative years in terms of box office in the 1980s.
