Star Wars also scared me. That trash compactor scene messed me up when I was seven years old. So did the Tusken Raider jumping up and attacking Luke.

you must have not watched many horror movies as a kid I had an older brother, so I was acclimatised early

It scared me too, sum1. That first one wasn't some kiddie ride. I was seven when Star Wars came out.

I was a kid in the 1970s, Rita. My parents weren't going to take me to the cinema to see The Exorcist, Carrie, Halloween, The Omen, or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

They debated taking me to see Jaws in 1975 but decided against it. I was only five at the time. I ended up seeing those movies on TV. The Night Stalker and Salem's Lot scared the crap out of me on TV, though. So did Night Gallery.

I meant Star Wars, sum1. We were both scared by Star Wars as kids. Just the scary parts.
