That film got a little too silly. It was too much just a rollercoaster ride rather than a story and the villains weren't menacing. The villains in earlier Indy films were often played for laughs, but they were generally menacing, like the Nazi officer Vogel in last Crusade. By contrast, Cate Blanchett's character was just played for laughs. Still, I did like Shia as Indy's son, even though I get the impression a lot of people didn't. Shia gets a lot of hate.

Shia is a great actor so I was happy with the casting, just not with the implication that he would take over.
