Yep. A lot of people forgot what Arnold looked like in the films he did after he retired from bodybuilding but before he did Conan. He slimmed down again when he did The Terminator, but he put muscle back on for Predator because everyone in the cast was trying to out-muscle each other.

Really? Because again, Arnold looks a lot bigger in Conan than he did in The Villain, which he did the year before he started work on Conan The Barbarian. Like I said, he came out of retirement to compete in the Mr. Olympia contest because of how in shape he got for Conan, so maybe Milius had him lose weight but put on muscle? I don't know.

No, Milius told to take off some of the muscle to make Conan seem more realistic. For the next film they made him actually add muscle, which is why he looks so ridiculous in Conan the Destroyer.

Okay. All I know is that he was far more muscular in Conan The Barbarian than he was in his previous films, and Arnold said that he got into such good shape for Conan that he went back into competition for Mr. Olympia, so I'll leave it at that.
