Well I think they tried to do an Avengers type of scenario but without the standalone movies of each character to back it up, so there was no depth. It's fun to watch but nothing more than that IMO.

That was a problem but for me I still feel like for at least SS [not JL] but SS was able to get away with it felt to me like didn't really need full character background plus for me it mainly was the music and the visual effects

I liked Justice League and Batman vs Superman best. Gal Gadot was great in those. She was great in Wonder Woman too, but the writing was inferior.

I'm trying to remember if I saw Justice League but I don't think so.

Justice League was the one more where they should have done standalone movies first related to Aquaman and Cyborg|The Flash

I feel that Suicide Squad was able to hint at enough origins of the villains without feeling like much was left out by NOT having previous standalone movies

He was adorable Ezra [Erza?] really did impressed me even if at first was like "but am use to Grant"

The movie had its moments but overall JL falls lesser favorite of my listing kinda like TPM-AToC fall for Star Wars

The movie Flash is different, because the actor classifies himself s Queer and the character clearly is too. He's also Jewish, both character and actor.

Watching Venom recently. It's done on kind of a low level, but it's good because it gives Tom Hardy great acting opportunities and he's marvellous. The Venom stuff is fun too. And it's a great relief to see a comic book movie that's not made for kids.

Haven't seen that but it's not high on my priority list, maybe once it's on Netflix.

I watched Veronica Guerin (2003). I'd seen bits of it before, but not the whole thing. It's a film about a significant incident in 1990s Irish history. The journalist Veronica Guerin was exposing drug crime in Dublin and the criminals shot her dead. In 1996. It had a big effect on law and order in Ireland. For a time at least. The film is hampered by the fact that they've cast Cate Blanchett as Veronica. Cate couldn't pass for Irish if her life depended on it. She doesn't look at all like an Irish person. Her manner isn't right. But the film has a lot of Irish actors doing good work, plus a good dose of Irish music. Ciaran Hinds is in it. Colin Farrell has a marvellous cameo. It's a good film and quite affecting.
