I'd like this considering he'd have to visit Saanvi for regular check-ups. There would be other patients there as we've already seen in the recent ep.

I think it has to be romantic! Not now of course; but years from now; because from the start; Sannvi felt a need for Cal. She might've thought it was simply to save him; but I'm thinking its more then that; and she and Cal might realize that later on. They'll wait of course! I also think it might even the score over Olive and Kevin dating

I think she’s more likely to become his step mom or marry his aunt than to date him. She’s mid 20s and he’s 10. The show will only go a few years. He will still be a kid.

Technically he & Saanvi are not in the same timeline because Cal is 5.5 years behind physically as well. So I can't really picture it the way you do.

Yeah, I don't think they are going to be romantically linked either and it would be honestly alarming if this happened, even in the future.

I'm all for Cal meeting another cancer patient around his age and bonding with them.

It would be a huge red flag if it did. Completely creepy. Thankfully the chances are it won't.

Having him connect with another patient would also be another way of exploring the cancer angle.

I'd like that for Cal too. It doesn't even have to be someone his age, it could be older. Just a bonding moment with another patient and how they're dealing would be great to see.

Is Cal going to school? The last episode he was with Grandpa Steve at the lake, but Olive was going to school. I realize the last time he was in school was April of 2013, and it's November, 2018, but it would be a good step towards introducing him to kids his own age.

We were discussing that a while back and the consensus seemed to be that he likely couldn't go to school because of the cancer treatment.
