I don't think its been said but I'm going to presume that this character will be the Andy equivalent ... (well & Darryl, but more Andy for the dating connection)

If Mel & Niko are on again, off again, & Niko cares about her & is going to be worrying about her, ect. I wonder how long it'll be for her to find out that Mel's a witch

sounds a bit mean - break up with someone who just lost their mother . I presume it wasn't exactly like that though, they've just worded it poorly

maybe they had problems before that but it does happen often.. because people might change after the loss of someone?

That's what I was thinking . Or it was her giving Mel space & time after the loss but their wording doesn't make it sound that way imo

Interested to learn more about this one so she's a cop? Wasn't 100% sure when caught the pilot but plan to rewatch the pilot

Yeah me too. I like her despite side eying the break up just after her mother's death. Although they did explain that she couldn't reach Mel emotionally due to that. I expect we'll also meet her ex fiancée that she broke up with to be with Mel at some point for the drama.
