GIMP is good, that's what I use. But if you want to use selective colouring you can't.

I don't even know what selective colouring is

I want to start with a simple banner or something, like a picture with some background colouring but I'm not sure where to start and the instructions on gimp are way too confusing.

Hey

I dunno if it's the right thread to ask this question,sorry forgive if I'm wrong

I'm trying to do animated icons with ImageReady but I've bumped in a problem when I try do an animated icons with a changed background. I've made this,but it's a utter and complete mess,anyone knows how can fix it? Thanks in advance

I can't seem much from it, but there seem like only one or two frames, and a mini movie animation needs at least about 15 frames. Also check how many colors you have like 256 or 128, and I wouldn't advice going lower than those 2.

There like 7 frames. Because I didn't want it to weight too much.

Do you know can delete the background doing a clean and good job,enough to use it in an ani?

The animation doesn't seem to move either, which it should be doing even with 7 frames

Background erased look perfect, but what it looks like to me is that you used the same picture in every frame and you need to use different frames or the animation won't move at all.
