You mean one of these? I have a whole whack more on my external harddrive that you guys will get a kick out of. I am thinking of making a flickr collection of them.

That pic of yours is great as well. I think you have a great handle on sepia and split tones.

Hevding, I love those! Especially the 3rd one. Nice play with light. Can you post the larger versions so we can see your composition? If you don't want to put them on your flickr, maybe like photobucket?

Yes those. I still remember the first one. Pokey's just jumping around everywhere.

Do it. Make a montage out of it.

Some of my favorite pictures I took on my Europe Trip in 2008:

I don't know why, but I think this one turned out kind of cool with the sun shining in and the bottles of wine

Great shots Ria. Especially love the second one. There's something about the random people in the picture that make it more interesting for some reason. I don't know.

So, these are basically the same picture but there were mixed reviews as to whether or not it should have been more close up and cropped or just left the way it is. The picture is of me taken by a friend of mine (who isn't exactly a photo hobbyist), which I had to give her directions on how to take the picture in terms of how far to stand back from the subject and what I'm looking for.

There aren't any other pics with other angles because this is more of a candid thing and we were waiting for our bus at this time.

Let me know what you guys think: Cropped or uncropped?

Cropped being that you can see the subject better while uncropped (according to a friend of mine), gives the sense and feeling of abandonment and loneliness.

Ria: Gorgeous!
Kris: I like them both. But I think I like the first one better, now, that I can compare.

I really liked that they were nuns, so we all got really excited and took pictures of them.

I liked the first one better too

Thanks guys, I don't have a fancy camera or anything, but I like taking pictures. I think I'm going to look for some more pictures from my trip (I have over 3,000, and post some more)

Ria, awesome shots! I love the first one also, lots of contrasting!

Please do post more.

Kris, I am definitely a bigger fan of the cropped version, because it accentuates the texture of the fence behind you, which is awesome.

Thanks for your opinion guys. Personally, I like the far away shot but that's just me.

Decided to re-do an old picture. Wasn't exactly too happy with the original retouch since the color seemed to be too saturated and not convincing. But here's a revised version. This was a collaboration I did with my cousin last year in San Diego.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some help with this;

Frozen, forgetful again, the part where I lose my head on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

If you view it large you'll see how grainy it is, I'm not sure how to get it crisp, maybe the ISO was too high? (I have no idea what that affects! )

Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S5700 S700
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1000)
Aperture: f/13.6
Focal Length: 7.7 mm
ISO Speed: 1600

Jessie: Gorgeous! Love the colors!
Kris: Awesome! Great re-touch!
Hevding: Wow. Love the close up of the second one! Nice!!
On the flickr page, it looks like Jessie gave you some helpful hints to why your seeing the grainy.
But my first thoughts were that your lens were dirty.

Yep those were some helpful tips! I'll have to try it out tomorrow or something.

It's the original camera lense and I assume it was clean, I did get some water on it while doing it but wiped it off after each shot.

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if this camera is any good:

Olympus E-420 Digital SLR Camera + 25mm f/2.8 Zuiko Lens - Digital Camera Warehouse Australia

I must admit, the camera case is totally roping me in at the moment , rather than the specs. That and the LCD screen. I'm sure proper photographers would just laugh at that feature being included, but after using our work DSLR, I would kill for one with an LCD screen.

I essentially want one that will take pics fast with excellent clarity, and work well in low light/night situations. Will this do that?

Finally, with its wireless flash feature, adding one of these, does that mean I can be away from the camera when taking pics, ie when you hook it up to a pc to review pics off there. Or is that something different altogether?
