 I have never used photoshop in the 8 years I have been making art, I found it difficult to use the one time and have stayed away since  I am scared to try new things when it comes to adding text to my pieces. |

That's interesting Kirsty as it's usually the other way around. If it counts for anything, your graphics are beautiful, and you obviously know your way around your graphics program.
 As for text, there's nothing to be scare of, you can always experiment and if you don't like it, delete the layer. Any others? |

It shouldn't matter really, whichever program you feel most comfortable using, then go for it.

I tried using GIMP so I don't have any Windows programs on my Linux. But the lack of adjustment layers was the dealbreaker for me.

I used to make batches of graphics and post them, and it is somehow lost its appeal for me. Now I'm only making icons for myself and its given me more enjoyment. __________________
