The group consist of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. The group debuted on October 20, 2015 with their first mini album, The Story Begins. Originally, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Sana and Jihyo were going to debut in another girl group called 6mix but with members leaving the plan was scraped. So instead, JYP decided to make a survival show, Sixteen to choose the final members for Twice.
