While the overall situation sucks, I'm kinda glad to read it's not just the pit of negativity that is the Mamamoo fandom then
So no it's not just this one fandom. It's a far reaching social media pandemic kind of thing. I think the numbers and charts obsession are an unfortunate side effect of a group becoming more popular. And the more popular they become the worse it will get, especially with the solo fans. I think people just like their bragging rights and to hell with anything else. It can be really hard to block out that noise. It has definitely been the kind of attitude that has ruined things for me so I'm trying hard to stay away from it, but sometimes it's difficult to avoid. So yeah it sucks! And I'm sorry you have to deal with it! Try hard to support the music and the girls and don't let the chart chasers with the superiority complexes get you down! It's a hard thing to do 
There's already "Moos" encouraging translators not to mail her subtitle files anymore, so she's forced to pay for them 
I also hope they never have to make business decisions...
