I thought I saw a video on Youtube about him being fired. I was confused and didn't believe it was true. I have mixed feelings about it. He did so great with GOTG but if he said some very offensive things then I guess he has to deal with the consequences.

Sorry to pop in like this, but just giving my two cents.

While what James tweeted is terrible and there’s no excuse for it, it happened over 10 years ago! He made a mistake and has apologized for it. People can change and grow over a span of 10 years, and how the heck do you even find tweets that happened over 10 years ago, unless you were deliberately searching for something to tear someone down, which it seems like this may be the case here...

Just goes to show, though, that nothing is private in the world/age of social media these days.

Since I read this news (only just this afternoon), my biggest issue with it has been how Disney kept Vanessa Hudgens on when naked pics of herself surfaced (again, nothing is private), saying she made a mistake and they were going to move on from it. Why can’t the same thing be done for James? Again, I don’t agree with what he tweeted about. Rape is a very serious thing, but to me, it seems hypocritical, because, like I said, a mistake was made, and people need to forgive and forget and move forward. Not rehash something that came about over 10 years ago...

Again, I’m just sharing my two cents here, and may be the only one here who thinks that...

Well, almost 10 years ago. I think they’ve been officially deleted/removed now, but I saw some screenshots of some of them, and they were dated 2008/2009/2010. I did not think the tweets were appropriate, but, it was said in jest and people should not base a few tweets that were made YEARS ago on the character of a person today...
