I just started this show and I am def. confused. Didnt really know what was going on in the pilot but it was still interesting I heard it will make more sense later on? Like in episode 4? IDK.. I might need to read up on it to understand better. Its not necessarily the different timelines because tbh i dont really care about that if I'm watching separate SL's, it was just like, the entire gist of the show and wha tit was about. I went into it completely blind not knowing anything about the books or games lol |

while I have no doubt that there are some viewers who went into the show blind and didn't know anything about the Witcher beforehand (me included), but I think most were already familiar with it because they either have read the books or played the games before. But the whole constantly jumping from different timelines to the next was new and was done intentionally because the showrunner wanted to tell Geralt, Yennefer & Ciri's backstories simultaneously. Unfortunately the constant jump between timelines was confusing for many people, but like I said in the old thread, you get used to it after a while, for me personally the show started to make more sense from ep 4 or so and it became easier for me to follow afterwards.
