They definitely wanted us to think he had a shady past and also heavily suggested he was involved in Jenny's disappearance. They focused too much on him as a possible suspect early on though, so I never thought he was involved.

I think they just pinned a lot of people down as guilty to create drama. We weren't fooled though.
