They didn't explain it, but I didn't mind that so much because it wasn't important. All we really needed to know was that whatever it is, when you see it it takes on the form of your worst fear or a deceased loved one etc.

Pretty much. Some people on FB were comparing it to the movie The Happening. Having seen both I agree as it involves people seeing things and killing themselves. It could've been a chemical thing.

I liked Birdbox in general though I do agree that it could have been better explained/fleshed out. Some of the characters were just kind of there, especially the blonde surfer (?) and the cop. They just bailed out of there, which also felt abrupt.

It reminded me of A Quiet Place (probably because I haven't watched similarly themed movies like The Happening), which was an overall better movie.

I've heard comparisons with A Quiet Place too. Haven't seen it though.

Even tho the Happening was more freak out than this one.. But I still don't like it..

I just got done watching Dumplin which I loved!

I also watch Bird Box of which was okay and see why people think Bird box is similar too A Quiet Place and The Happening.
