I've only watched the first one so far and was honestly quite confused. It's an odd message to send? I guess it's about people starting to confuse real life with technology and video games??? But I feel like it's been one of the more unsatisfying endings for me. Like it sort of feels unresolved to me. When BM endings are really horrible (gruesome etc) I can still find them satisfying because they make sense for the story or I can follow the thought process. Here I was just kind of like "Well ok, I guess?"

Netflix showed me the third episode first for some reason. I've watched the 1st and 3rd episodes so far.

I'm not sure what to think about Striking Vipers - I didn't believe Danny and Karl when they said they felt nothing during the real kiss. So is Danny actually gay/bi but is supressing feelings in reality because he has a family? Is it easier to face those feelings in the game because he doesn't actually have sex with another man? I have so many questions. I understand he wouldn't want to hurt Theo and break up their family in the process but it's pretty sad because it felt like he's bascially sacrificing his happiness and emotional needs. It's also a short-term solution, somebody is going to be hurt eventually, Karl won't live like this forever, Theo might fall for the person she's going to meet in real life, etc. Maybe it was just about chasing a fantasy and using technology to do stuff you can't normally do, I mean after all Karl ****ed a polar bear.

I def. think they had feelings. I think Karl said he didnt because he wanted to continue meeting in the game and the first time he said "i love you" it didnt go over well, so he wanted to pretend like he felt nothing. Danny's reaction imo was telling, he seemed hurt and then said he didnt have feelings either, which I think he was lying but just because Karl said that. And then thats what they fought too.

I just dont think they would continue to see one another once a year if there werent actually feelings there.

Mel, I feel like all of season 5 was like that. The episodes were okay, just nothing special.

Smithereens felt like old school BM but the story dragged. The Miley episode was fun to watch but felt like an R-rated Disney original. Though I think everything about that episode was on purpose, including the ott aunt as the villain.
