I was bummed with the finale. I was hoping Samuel was going to be the one to kill Marina because he had a clear motive and it would have been unexpected. On top of that, he doesn't have many ties to anyone other than Nano. We dont even see him all that much on the show even though he's one of the "main" characters.

I really liked Polo all season so I was disappointed to learn he'd done it. And I felt his "motive" was very weak. He'd never even interacted with Marina all series. He'd have no real reason to be so angry with her. I get he was upset with christian/carla but i dont think it made sense for him to want to hurt Marina. We'd barely even seen a violent side to him. And Carla/Christian helping cover it up was really weird to me too and taints them for me a bit as well.

So going into season 2 really the only characters I love at the point are Guzman, Nadia and Nano. I heard i twas already renewed! Cant wait to watch.

I'm glad it wasn't Samuel.. because it would have been way too obvious Everything pointed in his direction in the end, so it was pretty clear it wasn't him..

I also have to disagree with you about Polo... his motive is very good, if you think about it a little bit longer. He's always been with this amazing, popular girl. He doesn'T know any better.. Suddenly there is this boy he likes, but being gay out in the open.. oh no.. that cannot be. And then she wants to leave him. and all he can think about is how to win her back.. to be the hero to get the watch back from Marina. and in the moment she doesn't want to give it to him, his actions overget his mind and he reacts to save th only thing he knows. His relationship to Carla.. so he kills her.. classic motive.. but since he's pretty quiet the whole time no one sees it coming very good. simple if you think about it after, but very good

Carla helping covering it up is only because if they'd found out, everybody woudl find out about her family's doing and luring Christian to help was pretty easy. He wanted to belong from the very beginning.. and this is his way in

Everything pointed to him, which is exactly why it would have been unexpected. Because everyone watching would be like "no, its too obvious to be him." I think it would have made more sense than polo. Honestly, anyone would have made more sense than polo imo.

Also Polo isn't gay. He's bi.

I don think his motive was strong enough at all. Killing someone for a watch. He could have gotten the watch back a lot easier. lol. To want to kill for it? Doesnt make sense to me at all, especially when a) we haven't seen his angry side at all and b) he and marina didnt have any beef.

I get Carla wanting to cover it up, sort of. For her family. But I think that Christian going along with it is silly. I dont think he likes Carla THAT much. lol. I hope he is the first to spill because imo that would make more sense.

It would have made more sense for Carla to kill her over the watch and then for Polo to keep the secret.

Then you feel different about that.. no one ever does the obvious thing nowadays something without a twist in the end would be way too boring

I dONt# think he's bi. That's what his gf said in the end.. that he liked men more and that he couln't cope with that.. and he wouldn't find another girl and tha's why he clinged to her.. and that was why she left him..

it wasn't the watch itself he was killing her for in his mind it was the only thing he could do to get Carla back. bringing her the watch. Marina wasn't going to give it up. he saw no other way.. just because you never saw an angry sid of one person doesn't mean it's not there

it's not about Carla that Christian got along.. it's about belonging everything he ever wanted.. from the beginning.. he was so happy being in that elite school.

maybe those motives are silly for you an you cannot relate to them.. me personally I cannot either.. but people do stupid things for all the wrong reasons and every single one of those we saw in that show thousands of people did in their life..

I think it's really important these days to have characters who are HIV poz but are not portrayed in a sick/dying way and I was really happy to see that with Marina, it's too bad she ended up being a jack ass the last half of the show.
