Is Kitt’s name spelled with one or two T’s?

I keep seeing it spelled both ways.

The gif in the OP has it as two, but my closed captioning has it as one. I need to know because I’m OCD like that with the thread titles and stuff.

In the official press releases they keep alternating between Kit and Kitt, so I am not really sure.

ETA:

The creator calls her Kit, so maybe we should stick with that?

I had the same struggle with Ashley’s character, Danni, when her show, “Clipped” was coming out. The name was spelled many different ways in initial promotions & stuff, but I think I finally saw Ashley spelling it that way, so I went with that way.
