People always complained that Nathan & Haley from One Tree Hill were “boring”, but they had their fair share of drama, too.

I don't get that argument anyway. With Gilmore Girls, the creator always said they had to keep Lorelai and Luke apart or break them up because a couple staying together for a long time on a television series is boring, I never looked at it that way.
You can write interesting storylines even with a couple being together over several seasons. At least in my opinion.

That's why I am glad they handled the storyline with Conrad's ex-fiancé so well. Her appearance was never about Conrad or even jealously but to actually further the development between Conrad and Nic.
