These are terrific films. I haven't seen Warzone for a while though. I remember when it came out in late 2008 it was barely around here in the Portland Metro Area in theaters for a few weeks, so saw it on DVD first, but was enjoyable. The scene int he 2004 film where Frank battles the Russian is classic.

I hope you do. I know a lot of fans were ticked off that Thomas Jane didn't return as The Punisher in ''Warzone'', but I don't think the film suffered because of that specifically. Ray Stevenson I thought did well in the role.

Well the 2004 film is a good 1 I think to introduce people to the character. Certainly being in the right mood to see it I think helps, since it's a quite depressing film, but the action is pretty good & the fight scene with the big Russian like I mentioned is terrific. Dominic West plays the role of ''Jigsaw'' in the Warzone & does well enough I thought.

The 2004 film is very disappointing. Thomas Jane doesn't come off as the Punisher at all. And they screw with the Punisher's origin something dreadful. Ray Stevenson is much better in Punisher War Zone and the film feels more like a Punisher story. The 2004 film makes too much effort to make the Punisher a mainstream story. But the villains in Punisher War Zone are annoying as hell and neither film is very good. Of course, both are better than the 1989 one, which totally changes the Punisher's origin, sports a crap performance by Dolph Lundgren, doesn't feel like a Punisher story and is kind of racist too.
