So...yeah, I'm actually expecting the parents to start fizzling out.

Same. I think S2 handled them better. But the show is "Runaways" about the kids. We might keep aliens and whatever, but the parents will need to be gone to keep the show running.

so, discussion time ... do y'all think pride will be dead by the end of the season?

personally i'm leaning towards yes. if not all of pride, at least some of it. i mean how long can they drag out this pride/runaways conflict? don't get me wrong, i'm enjoying what they've done. but they need to branch out and tackle some other conflicts. iyes, runaways/pride is a major conflict in the comics, but they do stuff to shake it up.

here's a light progression of the comics story post-pride that the show could tackle:

- temporary new pride with a younger geoffrey wilder and new characters, which leads to gert's death
- chase going dark to try and bring back gert
- a time-travel storyline (this storyline was weak, but it was the least pride-related)
- surviving majesdanians come to make karolina stand trial for her parents' war crimes (xavin goes in her place)
- small time jump: team disbands then is reunited because gert is revived
- the runaways have to deal with their parents' legacy by dealing with problems caused by their parents

honestly if i had to pick something, i'd say a time jump between S3 & S4 (if we got one) would probably do the show wonders. nothing drastic, maybe just like 2 years to age the kids up a little and give it a jolt of newness.
