Her parents were just trying to do the right thing. I got a bit teary when she watched the video from them.

But I like the dynamic and changes. And, also, she's like 10-11 in the comics, verses being 14 in the show.

I like the changes. It gave more depth to the character. She's so young to be without parents so that will toughen her up.

Good question. The fact that we know very little of them also doesn't make us feel the loss so much although of course it's always sad to lose parents that early on for Molly and from the flashbacks they seem like really good people, like the Yorkes.

Could be because she's the youngest so it makes a good sibling story. Could be her powers. It's more to explore without them involved, so it'll take longer to figure out how she got her powers.
