I agree. We need more backstory on Karolina, they didn't really give her much but I have a feeling that they will explore that more in S2.

Heh. Not really an interesting character. A terribly written character. Literally Xavin's entire existence in the comics was to be K's love interest and to insult every other Runaway at every opportunity -- the only interesting thing about that was the romantic jealousy aspect for why Nico and Xavin hated each other.

I would rather have them just stick with the Alex+K/N love triangle. That has more than enough stuff to flourish, assuming the writers do right by them. Bringing in Xavin and all the things that come with Xavin would just be too messy. This show has enough problems with balanced storytelling as it is.

Plus, Xavin showing up would make no sense, given the fact that Frank and Leslie aren't Majesdanians. No Majesdanians means no war with the Skrulls which means no arranged marriage. (I'm sad that the Deans aren't Majesdanians like their comic book counterparts, though, because that erases a huge part of Karolina's identity.)

I agree. It’s way too early to introduce such elements from the comics into the show. The writers still need to focus on Karolina and Nico figuring out their own relationship and how they want it to develop.

I think if they do ever bring in that character they will need to hold off for awhile I agree with you guys. I want to learn more about the characters we DO have first. Plus I don't want too many threats to this superior ship

I have nothing against Alex/Nico as they do have a history but I like Karolina/Nico more because they have more chemistry.

I hadn't even thought of them doing a N+K/A love triangle. they don't strike me as a triangle because Niko clearly broke it off with Alex because he withheld info on Amy's death. They were broken up before Niko expressed a real interest in Karolina.

I really don't want a love triangle between the 3 of them so I hope they just stick with N + K.
