it's easy to see why gert might feel insecure about this. chase needs to step it up!

For as strong as Gert outwardly is, she is very insecure and has anxiety. The conversation in 1x09 is that no one sees her.

absolutely. chase just needs to show (with actions, not words) that he really does care about her and is there for her. and slowly gert will learn and trust.

The anxiety man. Makes it hard to really trust anyone because you can't trust yourself.

And, yes, actions speak louder than words. You say you're sorry for missing the study session. But you still missed it. And didn't call/text. You still stood her up. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh.

exactly. can't really blame gert for having trust issues rn. especially since until episode 109 chase was obviously into karolina. i mean we the audience all know chase has real feelings for gert, but she doesn't know yet how serious chase is about her.

Especially not Gert. No matter how he responds or what others say, she's not going to believe it.

He not only needs to show her. He needs to use words and tell her. Which will be difficult for him, for his own reasons, but I think if anything, it needs to be on him.

Gert said a lot during the dance. She comes off tough, but as she says, it's all a defense mechanism.
