Yes it was her doing. I think seeing Jonah actually attempt to kill Karolina finally woke her up.

I was surprised too! They are high schoolers. There was no reason for him to kill them either. They were not a threat to him.

Yeah, he's only like the #2 of Jonah now. He is very much aware of what he's doing but he chose the dark path.
