Has anyone tried reading the books? I finding myself hating Sword of Shannara, even if I started out liking it. Maybe it's b/c it's on audiobook, but it's too easy to see where LOTR copies are, there's too much exposition and I'm not even sure I want to finish it.
I should have just started with Elfstones, but I wanted to see what Will's father was like. What drove him to become a drunk,etc... Things in the book confuse me about the show. __________________

I have read the three book series and I loved them though I will admit that I love The Heritage of Shannara more than the original trilogy.

Of course Mtv gave up on it.
 I have streaming now,so I have to check and see if Spike is part of my package. I'm a bit disappointed about Will/Eretria,but I like the actress or plays Lyria. __________________
