Lol. I just find that these shows tend to focus on the romance after a while which tends to piss me off (I'm looking at you Bones and Castle.)

I totally get what you mean to some degree and believe me in the past I kind of complained that procedurals always get the leads together to my family, though I think that with Castle that was always a major focus, but for these two I just like what I've seen and the connection. Also I think these two are completely different to the other shows like the ones you posted as well. Those shows had two partners who get together like ABC's new show Forever (That's what it looks like right now, to me at least.). Paige is more like a liaison to the group, a person who helps them navigagte the world outside their bubble. Another factor is that most of those shows both leads are white, in that sense these two are very rare for leads in a procedural show, at least to my knowledge. Who knows I might change my mind when I see the pilot and a few episodes, but I have heard some nice things about them from a short first impression. I hope Scorpion can find a nice balance between the characters, the relationships, the romance, and the overall story/story arcs. I can see this show being in the middle of NCIS and Bones in that regard. __________________

^ I understand your point.
And although I'm not completely against the romance.... I just am not turning in to watch this show because of it.... I don't mind if it's kept on the background and small scenes, but from the moment it becomes the focus of the show, I tend to get bored and move on to other shows. __________________

I totally understand your point. I find romance less of an issue in a show like where there isn't that structural rule against relationships with co-workers in the same unit (ie. the military/police.) Since it seems to be an ensemble show, less focusing on one single character, I will probably have less of an issue with an romance. I just really hate the will-they/they-can't type dramas of a romance.

Yeah, that trope of will they/won't they is a stable for a lot of shows, so I can't totally see why you would hate it. __________________

I don't mind romance being a major focus if the premise itself reflects that genre/theme, but Scorpion is very much a drama, action, suspense genre show with an assembled group. I really don't think romance will be the main focus. Agree, it's not the main reason I've come to watch the show either. What I saw in the trailer is what got me hooked. Romance would be a really, really nice bonus. Also I personally hope, if they have romance, it's something they do put time into. I hate to see them just touch on it and all of sudden they're together or do that where it wouldn't make sense. I want it to be given real time, real layers, and growth. I won't stop watching the show if there isn't romance. lol The show just needs to be awesome, so far it looks to be that way.
