And: How come her father still lives? Was he brought back by that sect? Or did he never die? But how could he have lived that long? I didn't get that in the episode he turns up. Were we even told? __________________

We werent told the how, just that he was there. I'd liek to learn that as well, too many unanswered questions around her father.
