This probably won't apply until the Special Requests poll comes up but if those polls open, is it okay to PM those who were on the campaign list of said choice to let them know the Special Requests poll has opened. Or should we just wait until they find out?

If they're on the campaign list, you're free to PM them, as far as I know.

Otherwise if you PM people not on the Supporters list, you can be disqualified for trying to get votes or something like that.

I'm just asking because there is a chance that maybe they might not be interested.

Oh well, I would probably PM them on the list asking if they are still interested and if they're not, I could just take their name off the list to save them the trouble. I don't want it to get disqualified when the poll comes up (not to mention that the voting race was tight the last time the Special Request Poll came up)

If they are on the campaign list they can be pmed the month it's on the polls to let them know. This round, like the regular polls it will need to have an active campaign [since it has a submission thread]

I have to ask if there's any chance to ever get the female celebrities and male celebrities polls again? Only 'cause it looks like celebrities is the only poll that's constantly full in the first 12 hours and has tons of alternates and usually it's the only poll that ends up getting a board...

I'm just wondering whether there is a specific time for the threads not posted on to be declared inactive.

I mean, I read back a couple of pages, and it seems subjective to say well, once a week should be ok. Is there going to be a more objective approach, like saying 2 weeks of non-posting gets an inactive status? And thats it?

Im not trying to say that you aren't being objective. I'm really not. But having a definitive 2 week period would make it alot easier..well..in my opinion anyways..

And I echo the celebs question as well

They used to be separate? I had no idea.

IMO having them separate could be a bad thing just because they are so popular, every month there would most likely only be two celebrity boards added rather than a celebrity board and/or a music artist and TV show.

But that's just my opinion. Don't know what it was like before.

I think in the past when that happened there were 3 boards [in case a music or TV board made it of course]. I understand that it could create overload on the servers... it's just that, with exception of the last month or so, the music or TV polls don't usually have over a 100 votes.

That is true, but don't you think with having both a female and male celebrity poll that it would take away even more votes for both the TV shows and music artists boards?

I guess I'm just on the thinking track that just because those two categories already get lower amounts of votes that adding another popular poll would take away from them even more.

No, you can still vote on every poll...

I don't think people vote for TV or music just because they only have one "popular" poll...
And again, back then every contestant that had over 100 votes in each category got a board.
The question is, if the administrators could agree to that again.

I have few questions, inorder for a celeb to get his/her own board, do they have to have more than 100 votes? What if there are two celebs with +100 votes?
Also what happens if in a month no one exceeded 100 votes, does that mean that the highest celeb with votes but under 100 won't get his/her own board?

Finally, out of every poll, how many celebs/show/artist get their board?

If no one reaches the 100 vote minimum, no board is added.

2 boards are added each month for those who got 100 votes or more. But only one board from each category, for example, if two celebrities get well over 100 votes and neither TV Shows or Music Artists reach 100, then only one board will be added based on the highest number of votes.
