Heres my random question of the day:

Say someone votes for a celeb (or show, or whatever), and, as most people do, they say who they voted for in the poll thread. And that person isnt listed on the campaign thread. And has not been contacted previously through the appreciation threads. But they obviously voted for the person. Can we send them a PM about the Campaign thread?

No, please stick to contacting people via the thread methods as I don't want to disqualify a request because someone who was PMed wasn't on any of the lists from the various threads to do so.

^^ To add to Catherine's question. Would it be okay to simply post in reply to who they voted for with a link to the appreciation/campaign threads if they are interested?

It's more so to let them know that an appreciation thread is available.

The poll thread should not be used to post links to campaign threads. Anyone is free to browse the request board and see it themself, so try and keep threads on the first page.

it's going to be music artists & TV shows if each get one with over 100 votes.

Yes, TV and Music, if they both get over 100, if TV doesn't then it'll be one board.

seems like with less nominations it's easier to get 100 votes... i don't think that's all that positive.

I don't think that's anything bad

when I don't have a contestant I care for I just don't vote

sometimes people have a few choices and then when there's less contestants the choices are being narrowed down for them

I don't vote too, if I know I won't post, but I think many people do. With less options it's easier to get to 100. It can come to a point when there's like 5/10 options for Music Artists or TV Shows and one will eventually get 100 or much more votes, gets the board, probably over a celeb that won't get as much votes because it has more competition, even though there would be more people posting in that Celeb board than in the MA or TV Show board that ended up winning.

Well, maybe it's not a big deal but it can be a bit "unfair".

It can be viewed as unfair, but really - I think it's really nice for the people who's been campaigning and voting for a long time and don't usually get over 100 votes to get them

like with Coldplay, this month they have over 140 votes when usually they get about 60-70 and I know I've been voting for them every month so it'll be nice if they get that board
