Reba McEntire (born March 28, 1955) is an American country music artist and actress. In 1975 she signed her first contract with Mercury Records, releasing her first solo album in 1977. Reba had her first #1 single in 1982 with Can't Even Get the Blues. Since then, in her thirty-five year career Reba McEntire has had another 24 number one singles, and holds the record for the most Top 10 hits by a female country artist. Since 1990 Reba McEntire has also had an acting career which included her own television series (Reba) which lasted for 6 seasons from 2001 to 2007. She currently has a second television series in production (Malibu Country), which ABC has ordered the pilot for. It will begin production in Agust if it is picked up as a new series. Reba's sound and music has been influenced by the music of Bob Wills, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell, and Patsy Cline. She has been credited as inspiration to the careers of many artists, including; Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, LeAnn Rimes, Sara Evans, Kelly Clarkson, Lee Ann Womack, Terri Clark, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood.
