I want to say to all of you who wanted a PoC board so much, that I understand your frustrations about our current decision to not have an individual board for that particular movie at this point in time.

Regarding the comments about how long this request has been going on and the fact that the super mods just approached it now, I can only speak for myself. Although I am an old-time mod here, I'm the newest super mod and have been busy tackling the research of mod applicants for new boards and fielding posters' questions and concerns on a wide variety of subjects for the last two months. This is the first time particular questions about the Request board have surfaced since I've been back at FF as a super mod.

We're planning on a few revisions to the Request Board guidelines soon, which should clear up any confusion posters have about the function of this board. In the meantime, please remember that the Request Board is simply that, i.e. a place to request ideas for boards, new smilies, and the like. A request for an item and a certain number of votes is not a guarantee that the item will be automatically added to FF. We take into account other factors such as if an existing board can handle the item, how popular an item is and long-lasting that popularity can/will be sustained.

I hope this has helped to answer some of your questions about this decision, and due to the length of this thread, I'm going to go ahead and close it now.
