The Hub Productions’ WHONIVERSE fan meet and greet tour has been and gone through Sydney, Brisbane and Perth so far, with events in Melbourne and Adelaide still to come this weekend.

The final two events of the tour will be slightly different, as fans will know by now, with Agyeman not attending but instead, original billed guest Karen Gillan will be travelling to both cities to meet fans and engage in a series of Q&A sessions with her co-stars. Today, the organisers of WHONIVERSE have announced that Lily James, star of Disney’s Cinderella and also Downton Abbey, will be attending both fan events and will be signing autographs during the scheduled signing sessions. James, who is currently dating Smith, was first spotted in the country with him as the pair and Kingston attended a special meet and greet at a childrens’ hospital in Perth. It seems logical that the latest live-action Disney princess would be up for meeting some Australian fans in some otherwise unique and intimate settings, so The Hub has jumped on the opportunity!

Fans will be able to purchase autograph tokens for $40 at both events in Melbourne and Adelaide, with prints of Lily being supplied at each event. Absentee packs will also be available for those who cannot attend but still would like an autograph for $50. To purchase, head to Whoniverse.
WHONIVERSE comes to Melbourne on May 16th at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, while the tour wraps in Adelaide at the Adelaide Town Hall on the 17th.

Jerry Bruckheimer Launches ‘Young Woman & The Sea’ At Paramount With Jeff Nathanson Adapting And Lily James Starring

EXCLUSIVE: Young Woman And The Sea, based on the book by Glenn Stout that chronicles the daring journey of the first woman to ever swim across the English Channel, has been set up at Paramount Pictures by producer Jerry Bruckheimer. He has tapped his Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales writer Jeff Nathanson, who also scripted the cat-and-mouse Catch Me If You Can, to adapt the book. Lily James (Cinderella) will star as Gertrude “Trudy” Ederle, who in 1926 captured world attention when she swam across the 21-mile channel — an incredible feat for anyone, let alone a teen.

The daughter of a German butcher from Manhattan, Ederle was a competitive swimmer, an Olympic athlete who won gold in the 1924 Games when she decided to attempt crossing the channel. She undertook the feat after first swimming 22 miles from Battery Park in New York to Sandy Hook, NJ, in a record that stood for 81 years.

When she set her mind to crossing the English Channel, she contracted with two newspapers and sold her story, thereby financing her quest. There was actually a race among women who would be first to cross as only five men had done so before.
